“Helping you grow healthy, organic food in your own backyard.”
Ian Wilson grew up right here in Portland. He has spent most of the last decade growing organic food, farming and gardening as far and wide as Argentina, Hawaii, and Vermont. He brought it all on home in 2011 and spent two years managing Portland’s 47th Avenue Farm, where he was in charge of an organic vegetable operation serving over 200 Portland area households.
Ian launched Portland Edible Gardens in 2013, a local small business whose mission is to help people grow their own organic fruits and vegetables at their homes! PEG provides a range of services in home food production offering support to everyone from the experienced home gardener to the absolute beginner. Ian understands the many obstacles that people face in making their dreams of home grown food a reality. Portland Edible Gardens is here to make it easy, satisfying, and fun!
Ian’s mom Barbara Stafford, whose artwork has been featured regularly at PDX Gallery of Contemporary Art, designed the watercolor logo that is featured here. It speaks to the joy, the nourishment, and the natural beauty that come from home grown fruits and veggies. It is printed on Paper Jam Press’s 100lb recycled cardstock.
