Alberta Street is a vibrant, creative & sustainable commercial district serving both residents and visitors to our city. This neighborhood is strong and united because of its diversity, special interests to the arts & small business development– it all adds up to a very unique atmosphere. If you haven’t experienced “Last Thursday” this is a must to fully appreciate the personality of the neighborhood. The Alberta Main Street program is led by Executive Director, Sara Wittenberg, with the help of over 45 volunteers. The Alberta Main Street program accomplished a lot in their first two years, including the installation of 19 ‘Only on Alberta’ garbage/recycling containers and two small façade improvement matching grants. Look for more public art this summer!
